About Me

Merry meet!

A couple of years ago I decided to stop replacing the plastic packaged toiletries in my house. I was excited at the thought of shower gel, hand wash, bubble bath, shampoo and conditioner, all being replaced with solid bars, ridding us of the largest plastic bottles in the bathroom.

So I researched a few reputable suppliers, bought some ingredients and decided to start simple with lip balms and lotion bars then moved on to lotions and eventually soap. I was hooked!

I started to gift my products to family and friends and was getting some encouraging feedback so decided to refine my technique and recipes to get them licensed under UK regulations so I can legally share what I make with people who also want to get rid of single use plastics in the home.

And so here we are… I’ve decided to release my soaps for general sale, with plans to add to my range of soaps as I go and expand my product range gradually.

All of my products are fully assessed and certified by a UK based chartered chemist. Both they and myself are covered with liability insurance. I’m also a member of The Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers; an exclusive group of crafters and artisans who must provide proof of their cosmetic product safety reports (CPSRs) and liability insurance.

To comply with UK law, all of my products are uploaded to the UK Cosmetics Portal so that files are readily accessible to trading standards.

All of my products and the ingredients I use are cruelty free, any preservatives used contain no parabens or formaldehyde (or formaldehyde releasing agents), I also use milder alternatives to SLS.
